Meet Mrs. Minnesota 2008...

Leisha Gust (Mrs. Burnsville) was crowned Mrs. Minnesota International 2008 on March 9th, 2008 in St Cloud Minnesota, where she competed with other “county/city” title holders from across the state. These women are recognized for their achievements as individuals and as a vital part of the family unit.

In 2003, Leisha graced the stage in St. Cloud for the first time in her quest for the title of Mrs. Minnesota. She advanced to the Finals in that first year and she continued to do so in 2004 and 2005. By 2006, her experience and persistence landed her the title of 1st Runner-Up. A title that she re-claimed at the 2007 Pageant. Leisha is blessed with tremendously supportive friends and a family that would simply not let her give up her dream. Leisha is so very proud to be Mrs. Minnesota International 2008.

Leisha is also an entrepreneur as the owner of Pearls & Lace Bridal in Burnsville. She is a professional singer, speaker and author. She recently published a children's book, "Not All Girls Have Hair". It's the story of a child with a life threatening illness who goes through many trials with her illness and her friends. It has a wonderful message for all children.

The Make-A-Wish foundation of Minnesota has been her passion for the last 18 years. She is excited about using her new crown in her relentless pursuit to make others happy.

Leisha hopes to encourage and mentor married women, “To make a difference in your community, be passionate about your causes, go for your dreams, and never give up!"
